Maple Bars

½ C Maple Sugar

½ C shortening

½ C Maple Syrup

1 egg

1 tsp vanilla

¾ C flour

                                                  ½ tsp baking powder

                                                  1 C chopped nuts or coconut

                                                  1 C oat meal


Mix ingredients thoroughly. Spread in greased 8” square pan.

Bake 30-35 minutes at 350 degrees.

Cut into squares while warm.
